Pragmatic Play Hires Bhotesh Maheshwari as New VP of Strategy and Operations

Pragmatic Play, a leading provider of casino games, has named Bhotesh Maheshwari as its new Vice President of Commercial Strategy and Operations. With this appointment, the company looks to establish the leading position among regulated markets.

Following the new appointment, the former member of Rank Digital will oversee the commercial operations of the company and work on new partnerships with top-tier operators around the globe. Maheshwari will be the head of Pragmatic’s Gibraltar office, serving operators from UK, Germany, Spain, and Portugal.

Maheshwari has been one of the leading figures in several companies. He has more than 15 years of experience in the sector and significant knowledge of the industry. He started the career as a retail manager at William Hill in 2006, where he was working with product teams to produce gaming propositions for customers across UK, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

After spending several years on commercial and product roles in land-based gaming, Maheshwari joined the online gaming industry and one of the leading suppliers in the sector, Betfair. During the same role, he was responsible for arcade products and an in-house gaming proposition, as well as for the creation of a timed jackpot offering.

It was not before 2016 that Maheshwari joined another industry-leader, Rank Group in Gibraltar, where he worked on revenue and product development for Grosvenorcasinos.com and Meccabingo.com.
