ICONIC21 has introduced Free Double & Split Blackjack, a new live casino title that allows players to double down or split eligible hands without investing additional money. The game uses a modified dealer rule to balance the additional player benefits while supporting an unlimited number of participants at the same table.

The new release retains the familiar mechanics of traditional blackjack, with ICONIC21 covering the extra wager whenever a player makes an eligible double or split decision. Players can double on hard totals of 9, 10 or 11, while pairs ranging from 2s to 9s, as well as Aces, qualify for free splits.

The format removes the additional financial commitment normally associated with these decisions. However, it introduces a specific condition when the dealer finishes with 22, under which all remaining non-blackjack hands result in a push.

The launch adds another live casino offering to ICONIC21's portfolio as the supplier continues developing games with modified mechanics. Its latest release follows the introduction of Gravity Poker, a dealer-versus-player title featuring optional side bets and multipliers of up to 1,000x.

ICONIC21 Removes Additional Stakes From Key Blackjack Decisions

In conventional blackjack, doubling down and splitting require players to increase their original wagers. Free Double & Split Blackjack changes this arrangement by having the house provide the additional stake for qualifying decisions.

Players can double their wagers without contributing extra funds when holding a hard 9, 10 or 11. The same arrangement applies when splitting eligible pairs, covering cards valued from 2 through 9 and pairs of Aces.

The game therefore allows participants to make these decisions based on their hands without needing to allocate additional money to the table. The underlying blackjack format remains largely unchanged, although the modified funding arrangement affects how players approach certain situations.

ICONIC21 has introduced a dealer Push on 22 rule to account for the additional advantage created by free doubles and splits. If the dealer's final hand totals exactly 22 and busts, all outstanding hands that have not achieved a natural blackjack are settled as pushes.

Natural blackjack hands remain eligible for their normal payout under the game's rules.

Andrii Savyntsev, Product Owner Team Lead at ICONIC21, explained the reasoning behind removing the additional cost associated with doubling and splitting.

“Doubling and splitting are two of the most important decisions a blackjack player can make, but they’re also the moments that usually require committing more money to the hand. By removing that additional cost on eligible hands, we let players make those decisions based on the cards in front of them.”

Unlimited Table Format Allows Simultaneous Play

Free Double & Split Blackjack also removes the conventional restriction on the number of players who can occupy a table.

All participants play against the same dealer hand simultaneously, with each player receiving an individual result based on their own cards and decisions. The unlimited-seat arrangement means players can join without waiting for an available position.

This structure allows the game to accommodate multiple participants while retaining the familiar dealer-versus-player format associated with blackjack.

The combination of house-funded additional wagers and the Push on 22 condition forms the central mechanic of the release. ICONIC21 has designed the game around these changes while preserving the basic rules that players already recognise.

For operators, the unlimited format also removes the need to manage a fixed number of player positions at the table. The supplier's approach gives the game a distinct structure within its live casino catalogue.

Gravity Poker Extends Supplier's Multiplier-Based Portfolio

The blackjack launch follows ICONIC21's introduction of Gravity Poker last month. The title joined the supplier's Gravity Series and became available to its operator partners.

Gravity Poker combines Texas Hold'em-style hand-building mechanics with a dealer-versus-player format. Participants construct poker hands and compete against the dealer rather than playing directly against other customers at the table.

The game retains recognizable elements of Texas Hold'em while simplifying the decision-making process through its player-versus-dealer structure.

Additional betting options provide opportunities for separate payouts through optional side bets. Its multiplier feature can increase qualifying rewards by up to 1,000x, introducing variable payout possibilities alongside the main poker gameplay.

Selected qualifying combinations can receive boosted rewards, while the side bets are settled separately from the primary game.

The release also extends ICONIC21's use of multiplier mechanics across its Gravity Series. The maximum 1,000x multiplier and additional betting features distinguish Gravity Poker from a conventional dealer-versus-player poker title.
