Irina Ruf has just been selected as Managing Director of International at Merkur Casino GmbH. The part of Eastern Westphalian Gauselmann Group works across 800 arcades in Germany and Europe. As part of the new role, Ruf will be responsible for securing and enhancing the existing markets as well as for pushing forward new acquisitions in the global markets.

Ruf takes the position from Stefan Bruns, who will oversee the Sports Betting and Online Gaming business vertical of the Gauselmann Group’s Management Board.

Speaking on the new hire, Dieter Kuhlmann, Gauselmann Group Management Board member for Gaming Operations, said:

Coming from Bremen, Irina Ruf looks has almost 15 years of experience within the Group, and one of the most recent positions was Executive Operations Director International at Merkur Casino GmbH.

“Based on her wide-ranging career path to date, Ms. Ruf brings to the job all the prerequisites to successfully continue and expand Merkur Casino’s international business activities.”

Irina Ruf is eager to undertake all the activities in the new position. She said:
