LuckyStreak is looking to expand its footprint across Africa as the company sees significant opportunities in live casino, aggregation services and localized content, according to Commercial Director Corentin Budny.
In an interview discussing the company’s regional ambitions, Budny outlined why Africa has become an increasingly important focus for the supplier and explained how LuckyStreak is approaching a continent characterized by diverse player preferences, varying levels of infrastructure and distinct market conditions.
Budny joined LuckyStreak after building experience across several areas of the iGaming industry, including live casino operations, marketing, account management, growth and aggregation. His career began in live casino as a game presenter at Evolution before moving into a series of operational and commercial roles at Mansa Gaming, Wisdom Revelation and Celesta.
Reflecting on his decision to join LuckyStreak, he said: “I started my career in Live Casino as a Game Presenter at Evolution, 10 years ago, and my previous job was at an aggregator. Naturally, my persona resonates with the environment here, and I am confident that I can bring value to the table, not only in executing but leveraging my knowledge and past experiences to solidify Lucky Streak’s image and offering.”
Regional Differences Shape Market Strategy
Budny described Africa as a collection of more than 50 countries rather than a single market, emphasizing that operators and suppliers must account for significant differences between jurisdictions.
According to him, competition levels in many African markets remain lower than those seen in more established regions, while growth opportunities continue to attract international suppliers.
LuckyStreak already works with operators across multiple African territories and has used that experience to develop market-specific strategies. Budny stressed that player behavior, demand patterns and product preferences vary considerably between countries.
“There are as many markets as there are countries in Africa, and not considering this is the first mistake most people make. We can find some similarities in the gameplay but can’t compare the demand from one country to another. It’s exactly the same as in LATAM, in Europe or in Asia.”
Localization Remains Key for Live Casino Growth
While online casino gaming has expanded across Africa in recent years, Budny believes live casino still has substantial room for growth.
“Live Casino is still under-exposed in Africa in my opinion,” he said. He argued that localization will play an important role in the next phase of development, with suppliers needing to create content that resonates with local audiences rather than relying solely on products designed for other regions.
Budny said LuckyStreak is already working with partners on initiatives that include dedicated tables, studio-based content and live streams linked to land-based gaming environments.
The company also sees opportunities around localized promotions and seasonal campaigns connected to sporting events, holidays and country-specific occasions.
Aggregation and Infrastructure Support Expansion
Beyond live casino, Budny highlighted the role of aggregation in helping operators launch and expand their offerings efficiently.
LuckyConnect, the company’s aggregation platform, provides access to more than 6,000 casino games from over 60 providers through a single integration.
Payment systems also remain an important consideration for operators across the continent. Although LuckyStreak does not specialize in payments, Budny acknowledged the significance of mobile money services and local currency support.
He also noted that players generally prefer to access games in the same currency used for deposits and withdrawals.

Building a Stronger Presence Across the Continent
Looking ahead, Budny identified increased market penetration as one of LuckyStreak’s primary goals. The company also plans to strengthen relationships with local partners and continue exploring opportunities for localized content development.
Budny indicated that LuckyStreak expects to increase its visibility at African industry events, citing conferences in South Africa, Botswana, Nigeria, Kenya and Senegal among the gatherings the company views as important for regional engagement.
He also suggested that a permanent physical presence in Africa remains a possibility if the right opportunity emerges, though no specific plans have been announced.
