Amusnet-Wins-Major-Award-at-the-iGaming-Afrika-Summit

Amusnet strengthened its position in Africa’s growing gaming sector during the inaugural iGaming Afrika Summit, where the company combined product presentations, industry discussions, and regional strategy initiatives with an award-winning performance at the event.

The company received the Online Slot Supplier of the Year award at the iGA Summit Awards, recognition tied to its increasing presence and commercial activity across several African gaming markets. The summit also provided Amusnet with an opportunity to outline its long-term approach toward regulated expansion and localized gaming products throughout the continent.

Rather than limiting its participation to exhibition activities, the company also joined the conference program through Cameron Green, Amusnet’s Country Director for South Africa. Green participated in discussions focused on the future development of Africa’s gaming industry and the operational challenges shaping regional markets.

Focus on Local Adaptation Across African Markets

During a panel titled “Developed Markets: Strategies for Growing Africa’s Gaming Industry,” Green discussed the growing demand for localized gaming content tailored to player preferences in African jurisdictions.

“In the last 12–18 months, we’ve seen a clear shift from generic global content to locally adapted experiences that actually resonate with African players,” he said. “It’s no longer enough to just translate a game, you need to localise mechanics, themes, volatility, even how jackpots are presented. The suppliers that understand cultural nuance and player behaviour are the ones driving stronger engagement and better lifetime value.”

The panel also included Thomas Nsongka, Managing Partner at Lion Bets, David Moshi, Managing Director of Velex Advisory Ltd, and Musa Mngadi, CEO of the African Lotteries & Gaming Association. Job Weku, Business Development Manager Africa at FAZI Company, moderated the session.

Amusnet highlighted its work across markets including South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania, where the company has collaborated with operators, regulators, and industry organizations as part of broader efforts to support regulated growth and sustainable market structures.

Strategic Partnerships Become Central to Growth

Green also addressed the relationship between gaming suppliers and operators, describing the importance of closer commercial cooperation within African markets.

“Too many supplier–operator relationships in Africa are still transactional when they should be strategic,” he noted. “The operators winning today are the ones treating suppliers as growth partners, not just content vendors. That means sharing data, aligning on player value, and co-investing in performance. The reality is simple, if both sides aren’t making money sustainably, the partnership will break under pressure.”

According to the company, its business model increasingly centers on long-term partnerships supported by shared commercial objectives, localized products, and data-led performance strategies.

Amusnet stated that operators across the continent continue facing rising acquisition costs, taxation pressures, and evolving compliance requirements. In response, the company has focused on helping partners improve revenue per player while maintaining sustainable operating conditions.

“We see Africa as a long-term build, not a short-term opportunity,” added Green. “Our role is to support regulated growth, build meaningful partnerships, and deliver products that genuinely move the needle for operators in this market.”

Product Portfolio Targets Engagement and Retention

At the summit, Amusnet showcased several established and newer gaming releases designed to improve player retention and session activity across regulated African markets.

Among the company’s more established slot titles, Shining Crown and Ca$hybara Ski Edition continued to generate consistent performance. Newer releases such as Caramelo Sortudo Crash Edition and Crazy Red reflected adjustments aimed at matching changing player preferences.

The company also highlighted its Golden Coins Link Jackpot series, which combines familiar jackpot structures with repeat-play mechanics intended to sustain engagement over longer sessions.

Beyond online slots, Amusnet emphasized its cross-channel strategy spanning land-based, online, and live casino operations. The company stated that this flexibility remains particularly important in African jurisdictions, where infrastructure conditions, player habits, and regulatory frameworks can vary significantly between countries.

Its live casino portfolio includes products such as Candy Wheel and Showtime Roulette 500, while land-based offerings feature the Type S cabinet line and the Amusebox platform.

Expansion Continues Beyond Slot Gaming

Outside of traditional slot products, Amusnet has continued broadening its gaming portfolio through interactive live casino releases and regionalized content development.

Recent live gaming products include Candy Wheel, Eye of Ra 2000x, Vegas Gobbler Live, and Golden Goal. These titles combine conventional casino formats with additional interactive elements designed to increase player participation during gameplay.

The company has also developed products targeted toward specific audiences and regions. Football Thrill, for example, was designed with football fans in mind, particularly within Latin American markets. The release forms part of a wider localization strategy aimed at adapting content to cultural preferences across different jurisdictions.

Amusnet has additionally expanded its virtual gaming division with roulette-style titles featuring multiplier mechanics, including Virtual Monaco Roulette 72x, Virtual Space Roulette 120x, and Virtual Vegas Roulette 500x.
