Evolution has expanded its live game show offering in Latin America with the launch of Ice Fishing Brasil, a localized edition of its Ice Fishing title created specifically for Brazilian players.
The new version is broadcast from Evolution’s studio in São Paulo and features hosts who present the game entirely in Brazilian Portuguese. The release forms part of the company's broader regional strategy as it continues to increase its presence across Brazil and other Latin American markets.
Ice Fishing Brasil adapts a game that has already gained significant popularity within Evolution’s portfolio. The title recently exceeded 23,000 concurrent players worldwide, reaching a milestone less than a year after its original debut.
Localized Version Targets Brazilian Audience
The launch introduces a version of Ice Fishing tailored to local preferences while retaining the core gameplay mechanics that have driven the title's growth in other markets.
Monica Umana, CEO for Evolution LATAM, said: “The launch further strengthens Evolution’s commitment to Brazil and its broader Latin American growth strategy, combining proven global game formats with locally relevant content designed to support operator differentiation and enhance player engagement across the region.”
The game is streamed directly from Evolution’s São Paulo facility and is presented by native Portuguese-speaking hosts. The localized approach is intended to provide operators with content that resonates more closely with Brazilian audiences while maintaining the format's established gameplay structure.
Game Centers on 53-Segment Wheel
Ice Fishing takes place on a winter-themed set inspired by an icy tundra environment. Players place wagers on the outcome of a virtual wheel that contains 53 segments.
Each spin can produce an instant cash reward or activate one of three feature rounds. The bonus games, known as Lil’ Blues, Big Oranges, and Huge Reds, form a central part of the title's gameplay and provide opportunities for larger payouts.
The standard game includes Leaf segments that award immediate prizes. These payouts can be increased through multipliers that may reach 10x before players advance into bonus rounds.
Each feature game offers different reward ranges. Lil’ Blues provides multiplier prizes from 3x to 100x, while Big Oranges raises the potential range to between 4x and 200x. Huge Reds delivers the largest rewards available in the game, with payouts capable of reaching 500x.
An additional mechanic allows multipliers earned during the base game to carry over into bonus rounds. According to Evolution, this creates a combined win potential of up to 5,000 times the original wager.
Suspense-Driven Bonus Features
The game's bonus rounds revolve around an interactive ice-fishing concept. During each feature sequence, the host reels in fish one at a time, revealing hidden multiplier values attached to each catch.
As the fish are pulled from the water, players gradually learn whether the rewards contain smaller multipliers or one of the higher-value prizes available within the round. Evolution designed the format to build anticipation throughout the bonus experience.
The combination of short game cycles, wheel-based mechanics, and interactive bonus features has helped the title attract a growing audience since its release.
Last month, Evolution announced that Ice Fishing had surpassed its original player capacity threshold of 20,000 concurrent users. The achievement places Ice Fishing among a small number of Evolution titles to exceed the 20,000 concurrent player mark, joining Crazy Time as one of the company's most widely played live game show products.
