Pragmatic Play is set to discontinue its sportsbook, bingo, and virtual sports offerings as it realigns its business strategy toward its most successful products. The Gibraltar-based supplier announced that this change will take place gradually, allowing partners time to transition to alternative solutions while the company intensifies its efforts in slots, live casino, crash games, and RNG products.

Since its launch in 2015, Pragmatic Play has become a major content provider in online gambling. Its initial growth stemmed from slots, which remain a cornerstone of its portfolio, followed by expansions into live casino, bingo, virtual sports, and sportsbook services. The company’s diversification allowed operators to source multiple verticals from a single supplier, but management has now chosen to consolidate resources around its strongest market positions.

A spokesperson confirmed, “Following a strategic review, we have made the decision to focus on our core market-leading verticals – in particular, slots, live casino, crash and RNG. These areas continue to demonstrate strong performance and represent the company’s primary long-term strategic focus. As a result, Pragmatic Play will no longer offer Bingo and Sportsbook products, following a transition period during which we will support our partners as they migrate to alternative platforms. We are working closely with partners to support this transition.”

Strategic Shift Toward Core Products

Pragmatic Play originally launched its bingo platform in 2018 and added sportsbook in 2022. While both products achieved established distribution, the internal assessment determined that future growth and investment would be more effective in areas where the company already maintains a leading market presence.

Industry sources emphasized that performance issues did not drive the decision; rather, it reflects a strategic reallocation toward segments that have historically contributed the most to the company’s success.

Live Casino Expansion and Investment

Live casino continues to be a central element of Pragmatic Play’s expansion plans. Earlier this year, chief revenue officer Mark Maislish outlined intentions to open two additional studios, building on the Bogotá, Colombia facility inaugurated in October 2025. The supplier continues to invest in live dealer infrastructure and localized content tailored to specific jurisdictions, with Latin America identified as a key growth region as regulated online gambling frameworks are established.

Despite withdrawing from bingo, sportsbook, and virtual sports, the company’s overall ambitions remain intact. Resources will be directed toward product innovation, international studio expansion, localization, and growth in regulated markets. Operators using the affected products will receive support during the transition period to ensure a smooth migration.

By focusing on its market-leading casino verticals, Pragmatic Play aims to strengthen its competitive position amid an increasingly selective operator environment. With slots, live casino, crash games, and RNG products at the forefront, the supplier intends to continue driving growth where it holds a distinct advantage.
