Aristocrat Leisure Limited and Star Entertainment, two of the biggest companies in the Australian gaming industry, have announced the appointment of new chief financial officers right before the New Year.
Aristocrat Leisure Limited, the major international supplier of slot games for land-based and online casinos, has announced that it received regulatory approval for the appointment of Sally Denby as its new Chief Financial Officer after having initially announced the appointment in November 2022.
Sally Denby was recruited from within the company after having been with Aristocrat for the past seven years in senior finance leadership roles. In February 2022 Sally Denby had been promoted to the position of Deputy Chief Financial Officer.
Trevor Croker, the Chief Executive Officer of Aristocrat, described the new Chief Financial Officer as “an outstanding enterprise leader and a trusted finance partner” and added that Sally Denby has “deep engagement” with the company’s operating business.
The former Chief Financial Officer of Aristocrat Leisure Limited was Julie Cameron-Doe, who had served in this position for the past four years before announcing her departure to Wynn Resorts.
The replacement of CFOs comes at a very good time for the Australian company as the 2022 fiscal year brought profits of 1.1 billion Australian dollars, a figure which represents an increase of 27 percent over the previous fiscal year.
