Avanti Studios has added another senior executive to its leadership ranks with the appointment of Jonas Ericson as Chief Financial Officer, continuing the company's efforts to strengthen its management structure as it expands its presence in the live casino sector.
The Stockholm-based supplier confirmed that Ericson has joined the business after more than six years at financial technology company Klarna, where he held several senior finance positions. His arrival follows the recent appointment of Steven Tabone as Commercial Director and represents the second major executive hire made by Avanti Studios in recent weeks.
Founded by industry veterans Gustaf Hagman and Jonas Delin, Avanti Studios entered the live casino market in January 2026 with a technology-focused model built around motion capture and real-time cloud streaming. The company has positioned itself as an alternative to traditional live casino production methods by using digitally rendered dealers created from recordings of professional croupiers.
Former Klarna Executive Takes Charge of Finance Function
Ericson joins Avanti Studios after a six-and-a-half-year tenure at Klarna, one of the world's largest payments and banking companies.
During his time there, he progressed through a number of roles after initially joining as Financial Transformation Lead. He later advanced to the position of Global Head of Finance, overseeing a broad range of financial activities within the organization.
His responsibilities included supporting Klarna's entry into new international markets and contributing to the rollout of new financial technology products. He also played a role in developing accounting capabilities across the business and managed multiple teams within the company's finance division.
At Avanti Studios, Ericson will oversee financial planning and analysis, operational finance, investment activities and risk management. He will also be responsible for helping the company maintain profitability and regulatory compliance as it pursues further growth.
Commenting on his move to the company, Ericson said:

Technology Model Focuses on Digital Dealers
Avanti Studios formally launched its live casino offering at the start of 2026, introducing a production model that removes the need for conventional dealer studios.
Instead of operating tables staffed by live dealers in physical studio environments, the company records the movements and techniques of experienced land-based croupiers within its own motion capture facility.
