Playtech has introduced a new artificial intelligence-driven feature for its live casino portfolio, unveiling Virtual Host as part of its ongoing efforts to expand player engagement and provide additional tools for operator partners.
The new product is designed to function alongside Playtech’s live dealer offering, providing real-time commentary and player guidance while remaining integrated within the existing live casino environment. According to the company, the technology is intended to enhance the entertainment experience without changing the core mechanics that define traditional live casino games.
Powered by AI, Virtual Host appears within a digital studio setting and interacts with players throughout gameplay. Playtech said the feature has been developed to create a richer visual experience while maintaining the authenticity associated with live dealer gaming.

North American Expansion Continues
The launch of Virtual Host also follows another major development for Playtech's broader business strategy.
In June 2026, the company announced that its iPoker network had entered the North American market for the first time through a partnership with FanDuel. The agreement marked Playtech’s first poker licensee arrangement in the region and extended the reach of its poker platform into regulated markets across both the United States and Canada.
