PlayTech Launches Live Casino Stud Poker

In the latest release from a flurry of new activity in their live casino department, PlayTech have this week launched their first live dealer poker table.

Streamed from their dedicated studio in Riga, Latvia, this is a fairly simple poker title that comes with the increased production quality that Playtech have put into their recent titles.

Players bet on a five-card hand against the dealer’s, to see which will form the better poker hand.

In a nice twist, Playtech has added a progressive jackpot that triggers when a player at any casino pulls a Royal Flush after wagering on the Jackpot side bet.

Starting at £5000, we’ve already seen it go up as high as £20,000.

If you want a to play a few hands of this, we recommend William Hill, Betfair or BGO as the best casinos offering Playtech live dealer titles.

Mr Green’s Weekly Blackjack Marathon

Every week throughout August 2019, from Monday to Friday, Mr. Green is offering a share of £2000 to any players who bag 20 blackjacks on their Club Royale blackjack tables within that time period.

Bets with bonus money or bet behind wagers do not count and players can’t enter the same week’s draw twice, if they have already received the requisite 20 blackjacks.

Otherwise the rules on this one are pretty loose.

That’s up to £2000 in cash prizes, for something that could feasibly happen during a normal set of weekly playing sessions. Not bad!

Pragmatic Play Secures Malta Recognition Notice

After finally getting their UK license earlier this year, and completely relaunching their live dealer product range not long before that, Pragmatic Play have taken another big step forward this week.

A recognition notice allows holders to supply Maltese Gaming Authority certified casinos with live casino and bingo products.

This could open up many new casinos to Pragmatic’s upgraded game suite, so keep an eye out on these pages for any updates as they roll out their games across Maltese licensed sites.

Ladbrokes Coral Fined £5.9 Million by UKGC

The United Kingdom Gambling Commission this week found Ladbrokes Coral guilty of not administering the correct checks on customer funds, as well as continually sending marketing material to self-excluded players.

This included one customer who was not asked about the source of their income, despite gambling £1.5 million over the course of a year.

Ladbrokes Coral has accepted the fine and promised to make a slew of changes over the next few months, including: “an overhaul of our responsible gaming and customer interaction processes including increases in resources, staff retraining and hiring a dedicated player protection expert outbound call team.”

Just like any gambler’s fortunes can go up and down, so too can the behaviour of some online casinos.

We’re not here to sugar-coat the negatives for you. However, let’s take this story as a lesson in what casinos should not be doing – and also a reason to be proud of top-tier online casinos that always abide by the rules of the game.

Leo Vegas at Malta Pride

In a more positive story, one of our favourite online casinos Leo Vegas has announced that  they will once again be partnering with Malta LGBT Pride week – which falls on the 6th to the 16th of September 2019.

Culminating in a massive street parade through the capital of Valletta, and an open-air concert, Leo Vegas has stated that “the main goal of this collaboration is to show LeoVegas’ commitment in embracing diversity and equality in our workforce”.

Of course, the pink pound might have been a little consideration too – but if Leo can help foster peaceful diversity and pride in all kinds of lifestyles then we’re all for it.
