Playing Tips
#1. Take Advantage Of The Promotions
The best playing tip anyone will ever give you for Lightning Roulette, is to play at casinos that offer promotions for it.
Since it's such a new release (it debuted in early 2018) most of the casino sites that focus on their live dealer section are throwing in some additional money to promote it.
Typical promotions include races that award prizes to those who wager the most on the game, or those that get the highest amount of multiplied numbers. We would not recommend that you put an insane amount of time into competing at these races. However, you could at it from the perspective of: “if I am going to play this game for X amount of time, which casino will offer the best value?” When you do this, you may find promotions that work for you.
Some of the sites that regularly run promotions on Lightning Roulette include Leo Vegas, Mr.Green and Unibet. For a comprehensive range of ongoing offers, take a look at our promotions section.
#2. Choose a Strategy Based On Your Comfort Level for Volatility & Bankroll Size
Above we explained a strategy that is the most likely to eventually result in you landing that 500x straight up number hit. However there are many more systems and strategies you can try.
The obvious, and well known strategies are the Martingale, Fibonacci, Oscar's Grind and a handful other Roulette systems. However, it might be worth experimenting with hedging bets and various other ideas to find a fitting Lightning Roulette strategy for yourself.
As decent general guidelines, we generally advise to never bet more than 2-3% of your bankroll per spin. For less volatile betting systems, like betting all numbers, you can go as high as 10% per spin - since you are guaranteed to receive back the majority of that.
Ideally you would bet amounts close to these, when using our system for betting on all numbers:
- £100 bankroll - 0.20 per number or £7.40 per spin.
- £500 bankroll - £1 per number or £37 per spin
- £10,000 bankroll - £20 per number or £740 per spin.
Note that you are guaranteed to receive a payout of at least 29 to 1 so 0.81% return of the stake, meaning you only really risk £7 out of that £500 bankroll when betting £37 a spin. The potential upside? A possible £500 return, which means an instant double up on the bankroll in this case.
#3. Don't Be Biased & Keep a Cool Head
It's important to remember that just because a number has not fallen in 100 spins does not mean that it is more likely to happen. For an unbiased Roulette wheel every number has a 1 in 37 chance of occurring on each spin. This includes the Lightning Roulette wheel too.
It is always helpful to have a plan before placing your first wager. How much are you looking to risk? Is there a stop-win limit, meaning you quit if you manage to win a certain amount?
Even though it does not affect the payout odds of Roulette, as the house edge is built in the game, having a realistic goal and building towards it will always make things more fun - and that even applies to gambling.
