Evolution, the world’s biggest live casino software and content provider, has signed a new agreement with Cordish Gaming Group, which is part of the real estate and entertainment conglomerate called Cordish Companies.

This new deal will provide players in Pennsylvania with online live casino and RNG-based games through the PlayLive! website. The content will be provided from Evolution’s studio in Philadelphia.

PlayLive! will be able to offer their customers the full suite of Evolution products, including game shows and first-person titles which imitate a player’s view of an actual land-based gaming table. The games are expected to go live on the website in the second quarter of 2021.

PlayLive! started to operate in August 2020, becoming the first online gaming platform that was approved to go live in this state before the corresponding physical venue was open. Under the current legislation, in Pennsylvania, all casinos are required to have a land-based presence to operate online gaming services.

The Cordish Companies, which own and operate PlayLive!, have also recently opened land-based casinos in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. This American group of companies was founded all the way back in 1910 and it currently deals in real estate development and entertainment.

Updating A Previous Deal with NetEnt

In October, the Cordish Companies reached an agreement with NetEnt to make their live dealer suite available on PlayLive!. Then, Evolution took over NetEnt in December 2020 and that previous deal for Pennsylvania had to be updated.

In fact, NetEnt’s footprint in America was probably one of the reasons behind Evolution’s decision to merge. In the 2020 financial report, Evolution pointed out that the United States “remains a high growth potential market.”

The importance of North America for Evolution was also evident two weeks ago when the company announced deals with the Canadian Bank Note Company and Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis. Those agreements will bring Evolution’s live dealer games to the lotteries operated by the Canadian Bank Note Company and also to the PlayAlberta.ca website, the first regulated online gambling platform available in the province.
