The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, the government-owned lottery and casino operator from Canada, has signed an agreement with American Gaming Systems (AGS), a powerful iGaming supplier based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The deal’s purpose is to have several world-class products from American Gaming Systems featured on OLG.ca, the internet gaming website owned and operated by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

The first title from AGS that went live on OLG.ca was Golden Wins, one of the company’s most successful products in recent years. Over the next few months, the Canadian website will also enrich its offer with more titles from AGS such as Bonanza Blast, Capital Gains, Fu Nan Fu Nu, Rakin Bacon! and Vegas Stacks.

This is not the first incursion into Canada for AGS, its products are already included in the offering of Loto-Québec, which gained access to them through Scientific Games’ Open Gaming System.

Preparing for a Competitive Market

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is the only operator that can offer online gambling in the province at the moment, but things might change soon as the government is planning to introduce new legislation that will put an end to the gambling monopoly in Canada’s largest province.

The deal with AGS for fresh and exciting content is part of the OLG’s strategy to prepare for the market liberalization, offering its customers a more varied portfolio of games to choose from.

“We strive to give our OLG.ca customers enhanced choice and access to new, fresh, cutting-edge games in a safe and secure online environment,” said Dave Pridmore, the Chief Digital and Strategy Officer of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

The OLG representative also pointed out that the money that is generated from gambling on their website does make its way back into the province, benefitting the citizens of Ontario. Since 1975, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has provided around 55 billion dollars to the province, supporting key government priorities like health care and amateur sports.
