The NOVOMATIC Interactive division and provider of safe gaming solutions, Novomatic, has decided to boost its presence in Italy by acquiring Capecod Solutions.

Thanks to the most recent move, the established Italian developer, which has become a member of NOVOMATIC Italia in 2017, will increase Greentube’s Italian portfolio while also adding the first aggregator pole in its online offering.

The inclusion of Capecod-designed products within Greentube’s portfolio will bolster the Group’s geographical expansion by extending its product portfolio, with a special focus on Italy. With considerable credentials in the Italian market, the takeover of Capecod will also allow Greentube to boost the NOVOMATIC Group’s omnichannel strategy. Capecod is known for strong development capabilities which will be available to NOVOMATIC Italia’s brick and mortar partners in the AWP segment, becoming part of the NovoElsy AWP gaming suite.

Based on the newest deal, the Italian branch’s variations of popular AWP games will be available to Capecod. The aim of the cross-selling strategy is to supply a continuous output of new titles produced with the highest standards, smooth performance, and full compliance, for online and AWP users.

Commenting on the new milestone, CEO of NOVOMATIC Italia, Markus Buechele, said:

On the other hand, CFO/CGO at Greentube, Michael Bauer says that this acquisition meets all requirements, strengthening its hand in Italy across the online and land-based sector. The company has seen over the previous years how successful Capecod has become in creating games that resonate well with customers in Italy. Bringing the knowledge of such a well-regarded brand under the Greentube platform, the company believes that all parties will go from strength to strength in delivering products to the widest audience. The goal of the Novomatic interactive division is to boost Capecod’s results by offering its top games in other markets as well.
