Booming Games (BG), an iGaming content provider with regular growth, has announced that it received a license from the Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA). This will allow the company to extend its reach across Europe. The license was awarded officially to the company, on Monday, April 24, 2023.

With the license now in place, BG can provide its content to licensed gambling operators in Sweden, meaning players in the country can still enjoy favorites such as Rodfather Megaways, Burning Classics, and TNT Bonanza.

Strategic Move

This move has been taken strategically in preparation for the new regulations requiring all online casino game suppliers to have licenses, which are set to become effective from July 23, 2023. The Swedish government aims to encourage channelization of the legal market and protect both the industry's integrity and the rights of customers.

Frederik Niehusen, the Chief Commercial Officer of Booming, expressed enthusiasm for becoming one of the initial iGaming providers to acquire a comprehensive B2B gaming license in Sweden. The company acted promptly in the market, providing it with a competitive edge. The SGA highlighted that the newly issued licenses were part of its strategy to combat illegitimate gambling operators and emphasized that providers of iGaming content should not collaborate with such brands.

Speaking on the new milestone, Niehusen said: “We are thrilled to have obtained a full Swedish B2B gaming license, which will allow us to expand our presence in the fast-growing Swedish market.
