According to the figures for table games operation for the first month, Harrah’s Park Racing & Casino has good reason to celebrate. The venue has recently added a table games option to its facility and officials are satisfied with the numbers.

Fine Details

The Indiana Gaming Commission has just delivered a report for the first month of table games inclusion. The numbers show that the Anderson casino took about $9.4 million in bets and achieved table revenues in the amount of $2.4 million.

Hoosier Park approved table games on January 1st, after Indiana officials legalized sports betting across the state. The new legislation was followed by allowing the introduction of table games a year before it was previously planned. Regarding customers' feedback, the figures look more than promising and officials are pleased with the starting result.

Reps’ Impressions

Commenting on the encouraging figures in the first month, senior vice president and general manager of Hoosier Park, Trent McIntosh said:

“I think we’ve exceeded everyone’s expectations with how table games performed at the property. The level of energy that this has brought to the property, from the employees to the guests … it’s a whole different property today than it was 45 days ago.”

Vice president of operations at Hoosier Park, Todd Berendji mentioned:

“You walk through the pits, and you see people have fun and talking and congregating. That gives it a life like we haven’t had here before. We had a great casino before, but now it just has a vibe that just permeates throughout the property – through slots, through sports, through everything we’ve got.”

Promising Results

As we already mentioned, the venue recorded about $2.4 million in table games revenue from 28 table options, taking the sixth position in the state. At the same time, the casino's gross revenue of $19.7 million for the first month of operation was the fourth highest result in Indiana.

Indiana Grand in Shelbyville (operating as Hoosier Park’s sister racino) reported gross revenue of $25.5 million, ranking second in the state.

According to the beliefs of Hoosier officials, live dealers - who have passed practical training - give the racino special energy and additional strength for the future. This has encourage racino representatives to create plans for the upcoming period.

Trent McIntosh added:

‘I think our job through the first 45 days of being open is to figure out, how constrained are we, and how many table games do we want to have long-term. I think we’re narrowing that down. We’re still in that process, but we are continuing to look at what an expansion of the property would look like if we were to be able to do that in the next 12 to 24 months.”
