Western Canadian Lottery Corporation, the non-profit organization which is in charge of operating lottery and gaming-related activities on behalf of the governments of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, has signed a new agreement with Scientific Games, the well-known American provider of gambling products and services.
The new agreement is related to sports betting, with Scientific Games ready to provide its services to Western Canada Lottery Corporation and ultimately bring single-event sports betting to the customers in Canada’s Western provinces.
The services offered by Scientific Games include real-time odds for multiple sports events, along with futures and single-game sports betting. The American company has already established itself in this industry all over the world, while in Canada it has already partnered with three major operators: British Columbia Lottery Corporation, Loto-Quebec and the Atlantic Lottery Corporation.
The agreement with Western Canadian Lottery Corporation includes a customized platform that Scientific Games has set up, which will be fully integrated with the Canadian corporation’s central gaming system.
Following this partnership, Western Canadian Lottery Corporation will be able to include various betting options for its customers, including Pro-Line, Props, Over/Under, Pools, Points Spread and Futures. However, players must be aware that there still is a limit of 100 dollars on wagers.
