Playtech, one of the world’s leading providers of software for online casinos, has decided to integrate Affordability UK technology into its information management solution (IMS) platform.

This move will support the casino operators that work with Playtech’s platform in meeting regulatory requirements, but will also allow them to better protect the players.

Affordability UK is supplied by TruNarrative, a company that specializes in KYC (know-your-customer) and fraud detection. This partnership with Playtech will integrate a whole range of player onboarding and verification services into their IMS platform.

Promoting Responsible Gambling

With the help of Affordability UK, the casinos will be able to easily identify customers whose gambling spend may be unsustainable and take the appropriate measures to protect them.

Moreover, the integration of Affordability UK insight into Playtech’s IMS will allow casino operators to write bespoke rules and build thresholds around a player’s affordability data, behaviour and transactions.

With the help of the platform the operators will be able to automate decisions and perform manual investigations based on real-time accurate data. The technology also gives operators the possibility of tracking player spending behaviour across multiple brands using a single interface.

Earlier this year, Playtech announced a partnership with Canadian non-profit organization the Responsible Gaming Council (RGC) in order to help them refine their research on the links between mental health and gambling.

That move was part of a business strategy that Playtech have adopted, called “Sustainable Success.” The strategy states that the company’s main goal is to build upon their success in business, but at the same time make sure that the players are protected and given a safe gambling environment.
