Pragmatic Play has expanded its live casino lineup with the launch of Seotda Baccarat, a new title combining traditional baccarat gameplay with elements inspired by the Korean Seotda card game.
The release introduces a live casino format built around a 20-card Hwatu deck, replacing the standard baccarat setup with a faster structure and an alternative ranking system tied to Korean card game traditions.
According to Pragmatic Play, each Hwatu card represents a month from January through October and carries its own points value. Players place wagers on whether the player or banker will receive the higher-ranking two-card hand.
Unlike classic baccarat, the game removes the traditional third-card draw, creating shorter rounds and a more direct gameplay format.
Hwatu Deck Brings Korean Influence to Baccarat
The supplier said the game was designed to merge recognizable baccarat mechanics with Korean cultural themes and visuals. The studio environment, dealer uniforms, and card designs all follow a Korean-inspired presentation intended to distinguish the title within live casino lobbies.
Pragmatic Play described Seotda Baccarat as suitable for both newer players and audiences already familiar with baccarat or Seotda-style games.
The game also introduces three “Bright” cards marked with the East Asian symbol “光”. These cards hold the highest value in the deck and play a central role in the title’s side betting features.
Additional betting options include Player Bright and Banker Bright wagers, with potential payouts reaching up to 80:1.
Pragmatic Play stated that the Bright card system adds further depth to gameplay while maintaining a relatively straightforward betting structure centered around player-versus-banker outcomes.

Supplier Continues Expanding Live Casino Portfolio
The launch follows the recent release of Gates of Olympus Roulette, another live casino title added to the company’s portfolio earlier this year.
Seotda Baccarat forms part of Pragmatic Play’s broader strategy to diversify its live dealer offerings through regionally inspired formats and alternative game mechanics.
Sharon McHugh, Director of Public Relations at Pragmatic Play, commented on the company’s latest live casino release.
“Seotda Baccarat brings together two popular card games in a way that feels fresh and authentic,” said McHugh. “By combining the vibrant Hwatu deck with familiar baccarat betting mechanics, this release gives casinos a first-of-its-kind live casino experience designed to elevate their live lobbies. And, by the way, it’s pronounced soo-da!”
Pragmatic Play also highlighted the game’s simplified structure, noting that the player and banker each receive two cards, with the higher-ranked hand winning under the custom Seotda ranking system.
The supplier continues to expand its live casino catalogue across multiple regulated markets, focusing on game show products, localized concepts, and table game variants designed to attract broader player audiences.
Seotda Baccarat adds another culturally themed title to the growing segment of live casino products that blend traditional regional games with established casino mechanics for international markets.
