India’s online gambling market remains under tight restrictions, yet player interest continues to center on a small group of casino-style games. Data from the offshore-facing market shows a clear gap between the games most widely offered and those attracting the most attention.
Slots account for about 77% of the tracked casino catalogue, while crash games make up roughly 5%. Despite their smaller presence, live and crash titles dominated demand, with three games capturing about 52% of measurable interest in June 2026.
A Narrow Group Leads Player Demand
An August 2026 analysis covering 474 active brands serving India counted more than 11,000 games. Online casinos remain outside a federal licensing system, while most state laws restrict chance-based play.
Crazy Time ranked first in June, accounting for 30% of measurable interest. Chicken Road and Funky Time followed, taking the combined share of the three games to about 52%.
Money Coming, Aviator and Blackjack formed the next group, followed by Dragon Tiger, Monopoly and a smaller selection of Asian-focused slot titles.
The leading position has changed between individual games. Crazy Timeheld first place from August 2024 through March 2025, before Chicken Road moved ahead in April 2025. Crazy Time regained the top position in February 2026.
The analysis described the market as “a live-led oligopoly with a crash runner-up, not a long competitive ladder.”
Live And Crash Games Gain Visibility
The difference between supply and demand becomes clearer through game placement. Live and crash formats occupied 11 of the 20 most-carried positions despite their relatively small share of the catalogue.
They also held eight of the top 10 visibility positions. Visibility measures how likely players are to encounter a game based on operator placement, while Share of Interest measures the proportion of attention attributed to an individual title.
The findings indicate that the largest content category does not automatically receive the strongest player-facing placement. The analysis concluded that “catalogue leadership and placement confidence diverge,” while also stating that “concentration here is genre, not provider.”

Gambling Restrictions Affect Market Activity
The latest figures follow India’s 2025 prohibition on online games involving monetary stakes. Earlier data showed the Blask Index falling from 44.43 million in August 2025 to 39.57 million in September after the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act took effect.
“PROGA hit the real-money gaming industry like a switch being flipped. The moment banks and fintechs were barred from handling real money gaming (RMG) payments or ads, everything changed overnight,” Ananay Jain, Partner and National Media & Entertainment Industry Leader at GT Bharat, said previously.
Offshore platforms remain accessible to Indian consumers despite the restrictions, creating enforcement difficulties. Rakesh Maheshwari, former Senior Director and GC Coordinator at India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, previously said: “The nature of the internet makes outright bans less effective, as offshore platforms operate beyond jurisdiction and are difficult to track or regulate.”
The wider market recorded an approximate peak Blask Index of 67.3 million between April 2025 and March 2026, reflecting continued engagement despite the restrictive environment.
