EZ Baccarat Expands in U.S. and Canada With Ontario Launch via Ezugi

EZ Baccarat, North America’s leading baccarat brand, has extended its reach into Ontario through Evolution-owned Ezugi, marking another step in its rapid online growth. The launch follows earlier rollouts in New Jersey, Michigan, and West Virginia, bringing both Live Dealer and RNG versions to major operators including Caesars, Hard Rock, Rush Street, and Parx.

Co-creator Francisco “TJ” Tejeda emphasized the importance of brand recognition in the digital market: “Online brands are everything. Brands are really important on the internet, because there are dozens of baccarat options to play. EZ Baccarat is the best known, making a difference.”

Since debuting on Ezugi’s global network in February, EZ Baccarat has gone live in all available U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions in under six months. The game now appears on more than 100 sites worldwide, spanning North America, Europe, Africa, South America, and Central America.

Tejeda described the online transition as a long-awaited goal for the brand: “We’ve been trying for many years to take the brand onto the internet. We were lucky enough last year that Evolution, through its subsidiary Ezugi, picked EZ Baccarat from all of the many competitors out there and put it online. We keep adding new markets and we know this is going to be a powerful boost for the brand.”

First introduced 17 years ago, EZ Baccarat retains the rules of traditional baccarat while eliminating the 5% commission on winning Banker bets. Instead, a Banker win with a three-card total of seven becomes a “push,” speeding up gameplay without altering core mechanics.

Two proprietary side bets add further excitement:

• Dragon 7 — Banker wins with a three-card 7, paying 40:1
• Panda 8 — Player wins with a three-card 8, paying 25:1

These features have helped make EZ Baccarat a mainstay at more than 730 tables in over 150 casinos globally. In North America, the game’s fan base spans both land-based and online casinos, with players actively seeking it out in digital formats.

In 2023, The Talisman Group granted Galaxy Gaming the distribution rights to EZ Baccarat. Evolution announced in July 2024 its intention to acquire Galaxy Gaming for $85 million in cash, strengthening its foothold in the U.S. market.

Alongside Ezugi’s deployments, Galaxy Gaming has launched its version of the online game in North America, complete with optional progressive wagers that are gaining popularity with operators.

Tejeda said the Ontario launch fulfills a key ambition: “We’re thrilled that top companies like Caesars and Hard Rock have chosen EZ Baccarat. This launch fulfills a long-held wish: to give our players access to EZ on Live Dealer wherever they are.”
