Evolution has brought its live online game show MONOPOLY Live to the United States, marking a new step for the company’s partnership with Hasbro and its push into regulated American markets. The launch places one of its most widely recognized live casino titles into a new region, with streaming now active from a studio in Connecticut and further expansion expected across additional states where regulations allow.

The move comes at a time when the company is also growing its physical production footprint and adjusting content availability in certain US states tied to sweepstakes platforms. Together, these developments show how the business is managing both product launches and shifting regulatory conditions across different regions.

MONOPOLY Live arrives for US players through Connecticut studio

The US rollout of MONOPOLY Live centers on a live-hosted format built around a large interactive wheel and a virtual board game environment. Players watch a live host spin a wheel and predict where it will land, with outcomes linked to numbered sections and special bonus triggers.

Those bonus features include CHANCE segments, which can activate instant cash rewards or multipliers, along with 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS segments that send the game into a bonus round. During these rounds, a virtual MR. MONOPOLY moves across a 3D MONOPOLY board, collecting rewards as the game unfolds.

Jacob Claesson, Chief Executive Officer at Evolution North America, said: “We are excited to bring MONOPOLY Live to the U.S. It is one of our most recognisable game shows globally, and we are very pleased to now offer that experience to players in Connecticut. The game combines the iconic MONOPOLY brand with live casino entertainment, featuring a live host and immersive bonus rounds with MR. MONOPOLY in his 3D world, offering a truly unique gaming experience that we are sure players will enjoy.”

The game already has a global audience following its original release in 2019, and its arrival in the US adds to a growing catalog of live casino content streamed from regulated studios.

Michigan studio expansion adds jobs and new capacity

Alongside the game launch, the company is also building out its live casino infrastructure in Michigan. A new studio in Grand Rapids is under development and expected to support more than 300 jobs once fully operational. The facility adds to an existing studio presence in Southfield, where the company already employs close to 1,000 people.

The expansion reflects continued demand for live dealer content, which streams table games in real time to online platforms used on mobile devices and desktop systems. These productions rely on local studio setups in regulated markets, including Michigan, where licensing rules require in-state operations for online casino streaming.

The company views live casino production as a system where real dealers host games that are broadcast to players around the world from studio environments. Plans also include launching MONOPOLY Live from the Michigan site, which leadership expects to be a major release for the year.

Illinois withdrawal reflects changing sweepstakes landscape

While expansion continues in regulated casino markets, the company has also reduced content availability in Illinois for sweepstakes platforms. Players using Stake.us in the state recently noticed that titles linked to multiple studios were no longer accessible, including live dealer games and slots from several Evolution-related brands.

The removal extends across a wide range of content providers, affecting both major and smaller studios. Users in Illinois reported missing access to games from multiple subsidiaries and partner developers, raising questions about how sweepstakes operators will operate in the state going forward.

The Illinois situation follows similar moves in other regions, including California, where legal and regulatory pressure led to widespread withdrawals from sweepstakes platforms during 2025. That pattern has influenced how suppliers respond to early signals from regulators rather than waiting for formal enforcement.

Illinois has not introduced a statewide ban on sweepstakes sites, but activity in other states suggests growing uncertainty around the sector. Tennessee recently saw multiple platform exits before enforcement actions became public, while other states continue to consider regulatory changes that could affect availability.

At the same time, some platforms still list live dealer content in certain cases, showing uneven access depending on operator decisions. Industry observers note that these changes often happen without public announcements, leaving players to notice shifts only when content disappears from platforms.
